The finance minister called solar power a clean source of electricity during his speech. He stated that the work done by Walton should expand across the country. He noted that solar generation will grow significantly over the next one to two years to supply cheaper electricity to people.

Walton officials reported that the firm presently produces 32 megawatts of solar power through rooftop and floating projects at factory sites. The company feeds an average of 1,150 megawatt-hours of solar electricity into the national grid every year through net metering.
The product range includes solar panels, photovoltaic cables, inverter batteries and energy-efficient household goods. Hybrid air conditioners, refrigerators and smart TVs can run directly on solar power without batteries when sunlight is strong, switching to grid power automatically when needed.
Washing machines, electric cookers, microwave ovens, rice cookers and brushless DC fans are part of the lineup along with solar fans, LED bulbs and streetlights. Inverter batteries work with both solar and AC chargers. Walton also presented a new Takyon electric bike model that doubles as a mobile energy storage unit.
